It was bittersweet to leave the NICU, after all they have become our family and taken Jada as one of their own.
We finally arrived home around 4pm and immideately called Mom and Bill to join us for dinner (and help us get settled). As we drove into our neighborhood, there was a sign on the first stop sign with Jada’s name. We continued to drive toward the house and noticed every single mailbox had a pink bow tied on it in her honor. Our house was decorated too, with a large pink ribbon (rather than the old yellow one) and several pink balloons with one white balloon (In memory of Reese).
So…Aunt Becky and Thad (night nurses)…we need to talk! Jada has a party at night from 10pm to 4am, and she thinks she needs to sleep during the day. Dave was a huge help last night as I’m still trying to heal from Wednesday.
Today, Mom and I gave Jada her first bath at home. It was precious and she really enjoyed it!

Tears of joy! Tears of praise! Tears, tears, tears for Jada & Reese’s journey. We love you Alter family. May every day at home be more precious, memorable and loving than the one before.
Love,
Jennifer, David, Sadie, Carlie & Brody
What a journey your little family has been on these past several months! I first read about your family on Alex Alexander’s FB post when the sweet babies were born. I have followed every step through your journals and been blessed by your amazing faith. As I have prayed for little Jada and read your entries I have begun to feel as though I know you both. It was such a blessing to read that the “3″ of you are at home now. God has heard and answered the many, many prayers that were lifted up on your behalf. Thank you for letting me be a part of this. By the way, our son Kirk is the Student Director at Lake Hills Church.
Sending our love your way! We are so excited that Jada has made it home! What a blessing!
oh look at that little booty!!!!
And that is only the beginning! I’m up until midnight, but after that, you are on your own!
We are so excited that Jada is finally home! Congratulations!
XOXO,
Jana, Kent, Sarah, Christopher and Preston
