Retina Specialist Appointment Today

Today was my first full day with Jada by myself!  I made it, so far… she had an eye appointment this afternoon, and I honestly spent the entire day getting ready to go!  Needless to say, we were on time.  :)

While we were waiting for her eyes to dilate, I met Bryce Moline and his mother.  It was a totally God planned meeting since I have (and most of you) been following their blog since August, but haven’t had a chance to meet them.  It was neat to be able to talk about our NICU experiences and how it’s going at home now.  They will remain in our prayers, and I hope to meet again one day.

Jada’s eye report was great, and we will no longer visit Dr. Harper’s office- only see Dr. Lockhart (optometrist).  Dr. Harper said she will most likely get glasses at her next appointment with Dr. Lockhart in January.  I’m praying that she won’t need glasses at this age as God can do anything!

I think Jada’s days/nights are beginning to get on track, and she’s sleeping in her bassinet.  We put her to bed at 10pm, she wakes up to feed at 1am.  She sleeps from 2am to 5:30am, then up for another feeding.  She has another pediatrician appointment tomorrow.

Hey it sounds like you are getting on a good schedule! Glad to get the good report on Jada’s eyes. I will continue to pray for complete healing so she will not have to wear the glasses.

  2. It was really neat to run into another NICU mom at the eye doc. I haven’t stopped telling people about how we met and how nice it was to talk with you. I’m glad all went well for Jada and hope to get the opportunity to visit again sometime.

Hey there! So glad that everything is going well with Miss Jada. Mary told me about you and Katrina meeting the other day. Aren’t they great?

Hope everything continues to go well and happy multi-tasking!
