Our first official babysitter came last night, so that we could go to church and hang out with friends afterwards. Rachel, her NICU nurse, did a fabulous job babysitting, and I wasn’t nervous about it at all. We did give her more directions about the dogs, than about Jada. If you know our dogs, it makes perfect sense. We came home and found Jada snuggled up with Rachel fast asleep. I asked her why Jada thinks she needs to be held ALL the time (even when sleeping), and she told me because they held her ALL the time in the NICU. I’m working hard to put her down as much as possible. Dave and I are noticing that Jada is focusing on objects, the dogs, and faces for extended periods of time. She is taking about 3 oz every feeding, and we notice her growing so quickly!

What a great picture of the Alter girls !
It was so great to see you guys last night! What a blessing that you have such wonderful ladies to stay with Jada! We look forward to seeing you soon!
Soak up every moment because before you know it, she’ll be in Kindergarten! She is a precious doll. I am just tickeled for you and Dave.
Blessings,
Kim
Don’t worry about putting her down for naps–she’ll outgrow wanting to be held on her own soon enough. Just enjoy snuggling her while she sleeps:) So glad the NICU nurse babysat–I know that was the only way you both could probably relax leaving her. Keep posting because I’m loving watching Jada grow!
I just love the pictures of the Jada with the boxers! Our boxers were always the most gentle with the very smallest of the children. Seeing Jada with Tiki’s giant head resting on her body made me smile really big! Precious baby and wonderful dogs!
Love,
Carol
Hold Jada as much as you can! She’ll outgrow wanting to be held and you’ll be wishing for those days back.
Jada is growing SO much – it’s unbelievable! What a cutie-patootie!

Oh, you can’t spoil a baby. Shepherd turns 1 next week and I still haven’t put him down!
THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE BEEN TO YOUR BLOG. HOW SWEET!
JADA LOOKS GREAT. IT’S WONDERFUL TO SEE HER PROGRESS AT HOME WITH HER FAMILY.
I WILL KEEP CHECKING.
I MISS MY JADA REESE BUT SO GLAD SHE IS WHERE SHE BELONGS!
