I had a fabulous birthday week!  We went to Uchiko with Lauren and Hunter for the best sushi in town, enjoyed Dave’s steaks on the grill, went to Lamberts with Gigi and Joel, and had friends and family spoil me all week!  Thank you!  Cheers to turning 3-0…next year.

Happy 50th Birthday Mom- we love you and had a fabulous weekend celebrating with the whole family!

My grandmother, Mama Jane Corbin (dad’s mom) is 3/4 of a century old, but doesn’t look it at all!  She is a wonderful grandmother and loves being a great-grandmother!  We had a wonderful time in Fort Worth celebrating her birthday and introducing the girls to the extended family.

It’s going by so quickly… Addie Kate is 2 months old.  She’s growing, and soon may catch up with her sister!

At her 2 month check up- 23 inches long (75%) and 11 lbs 14 oz (50%) and head circumference 15 and 1/2 inches (75%).

She is smiling and interacting when you talk to her.  Addie holds her head up and scoots on her belly.  She loves her sister and loves to cuddle!  We have another sweet little girl on our hands, and we feel so blessed to have her as our daughter!

What a wonderful weekend!  Our first family of 4 road trip.  It took us almost 3 hours to get out the door early Saturday morning.

We enjoyed our time at the Campbell Family Farm Saturday and Sunday as we got to catch up with our best friends from Chicago.  It took about 5 seconds when we first arrived for James to walk up to Jada and give her a hug.  They had so much fun together this weekend.  We went swimming, played tennis, sat in the rocking chairs, feed the horses, sat on the tractor, rode around the farm and saw the cows, went for a walk… Jada had several firsts this weekend.  She was too scared to ride the horse and wanted down immediately, but she loved feeding them.  Addie went swimming with the rest of us in her cute bikini with her rolls sticking out.  It was such a wonderful experience to get to share it with the girls.

Next weekend, we head to Ft. Worth to visit my grandmother, Mama Jane, for her 75th birthday party.  We are looking forward to introducing the girls to a large part of our extended family.

Jada Reese is exhausted!  This picture is taken at the end of her first day of preschool… she loved it, and we already have all of her artwork on the refrigerator with magnets.  When I picked her up this afternoon, her teacher said, “Jada Reese is SOOO sweet.”

She went asleep early tonight.  She goes to preschool two days a week half day.  It’s perfect for her to have peer socialization, and I get 1:1 time with Addie Kate (although, I missed JR so much today!).

Saturday morning Dave and Jada Reese had their eggs and juice/coffee together at Jada’s table.  It was too precious not to take a picture!

Addie Kate is 1 month old and is as cute as can be!  She is such an easy baby (other than wanting to feed every 2 hrs).  At her one month check up she was 21.5 inches long (75%), weighed 9 lbs 7 oz (50%) and her head circumference was 14.75 (75%)… she is growing so fast!

Jada is quickly becoming a very nurturing momma to all her baby dolls, stuffed animals, and our dogs.  She likes to put Addie’s diapers on them, use her wipes, feed them with her kitchen cups/bottles, and wrap them in Addie’s blankets.  It’s very sweet to watch how she is becoming a loving big sister.  She holds Addie’s hands and gets concerned when Addie cries.

Jada went to the bathroom on her little potty yesterday for the first time.  I’m using chocolate to bribe her, so hopefully, potty training is on its way!  Jada starts preschool 2x a week on August 30th!
